JLP is a team effort! There are four of us gals who love our cameras and love capturing memories for people. We are based in both Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Denver, Colorado so we are available to book sessions and weddings here, there, and everywhere.
A note from Jamie, the owner: When I started taking photos in 2013 I was under the impression that if I owned fancy equipment I would be a better photographer... but it wasn’t until I was a bride and a first time mom (and a second time mom) that I really started to get it. How giddy and awkward you can feel in front of the camera at your engagement session. How passionate you feel about every single detail and moment at your wedding. How exhausted and over the moon you can feel at your newborn session. How flustered and anxious you can feel when your toddler won’t stop running around at your family session. And you know what- I LOVE IT ALL. Give me all of the nerves and emotions and chaos. Let’s turn these real life moments into beautiful memories that you can hold on to forever.
Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (go Hawkeyes!). Lived in Colorado for 18 years before moving back to Iowa. Husband is 100% Texan. Children are confused hybrids.
